I’ve never had Krispy Kremes hot off the press, just in the dozen-pack at work. I just wasn’t that impressed. They are smaller than other donuts, don’t come in that many varieties/flavors/shapes, and have an odd texture. I really like the fritters from a local place near here.
The trick is, you need to heat them. Don’t eat them cold. Put it on a napkin, stick it in the microwave for 10 seconds, and it’ll taste as good as if it just came out of the deep fat fryer dripping with grease. Yum.

Jan 12, 03 at 10:37 pmYum! Krispy Kreme! Saw a billboard for them near St. Louis that said “Drive through open 2 dozen hours”.
The kewl thing about KK’s is they last for two or three days before they start to get stale. More than enough time to polish off a box or two.
