Woohoo!

Our green cards.. our actual green cards (which are white, and credit card sized, incidentally) arrived. BCIS (AKA, INS) in “ahead of schedule by several months” complete and utter total shocker. I’m completely stunned, frankly. Wooh :)

We’re off!

Well, the day has finally arrived. We’re off to London to do the final part of our greencard processing. The shuttle arrives to take us to the airport in about an hour, and we’ll be in London by midday Sunday (local time). Our interview at the US Embassy is on Wednesday, so we’ll have a few days to get over the jetlag etc. Hopefully the several metric tons of paperwork we’re taking includes absolutely everything we need to complete the process and when we return, we’ll be greencard holders. Fingers crossed eh?

Greencard update.

After months of waiting, Sarah and I heard this morning that we have an appointment at the US consulate in London in January. This is basically the last leg in the greencard application process. Once we get this done, we can get on with our lives, buy a house, that sort of thing, so we’re obviously pretty excited about it. Flights have already been booked etc.. If anyone in England wants to hook up with us at some point, we’ll be there from January 17th to 31st. Yay! :)
