Interesting (not really) statistics.

So, I’ve been working at the same place now for 7.5 years. This evening, I found out my boss is “moving on to other oppurtunities” and it made me realise there have been a lot of changes since I joined the company.

Titles: Support, Escalation, Developer, DB Analyst, Web dev = 5 total
Desks: 1 (Ridgewood), 1 (UK), 5 (4th floor Sunset), 1 (5th floor Sunset), 1 (1st floor of current building), 4 (2nd floor of current building) = 13 total
Bosses: (Initials, in order): TH, SC, AY, PR, AP, TA, MR, DL, PA, ?? = 10 total

So, uh, yeah. Isn’t that exciting? No? Well I don’t post very often. This is what you get.. how about a cute baby photo instead?

No vacation yet?

Helloooo layoffs.. Round 4 today (actually, that’s round 3 on paper. Round 2 never officially happened – that was ‘downsizing’). I’m still ok, but 2 people from our team weren’t so lucky, and lots of other folks from across the company didn’t make it. Bad times.

Back to work

Back to work today.. It’s good to be active again, but I do tire easily because of the chemo so I’m trying to take things fairly easy. Went to see Dr. Kovach today to follow up and have my blood cell counts checked. Apparently, everything is as expected. My white cell count has dropped, which is normal with the chemo, but to a good level. They’ll keep checking this through the treatment. Apparently it drops off to begin with and then slowly climbs back up again. The lower it is, the more susceptible I am to picking up infections, so I’m glad it’s at a good level now.

Nothing more to write about for now. My next chemo isn’t until the 30th and my hair still hasn’t fallen out, although Dr. Kovach said I shouldn’t get too hopeful – about a week from now is when I’ll start to notice it.. We’ll see..
